  • I was a licenced ham on 2 metres many years ago but never took a licence for the short wave amateur bands. I am very interested in short wave listening and my main receiver is a JRC 545 which is fed with a long wire at no more than 10 feet above the ground. I also have a vertical antenna which works well.Having now retired from work I intend to study and obtain a full licence and get back into this wonderful hobby.
